History and Legend

Blangsinga Waterfall is fed by the Petanu River. According to legend, this river was the bathing place of Patih Kebo Iwa, a military commander during the reign of King Sri Astasura Ratna Bumi Banten in the 14th century. You can still find handprints believed to be Kebo Iwa’s on the cliff along the river. Additionally, the Petanu River was used by Danghyang Nirartha to spread Hinduism, with evidence of Hindu teachings on the river’s walls and the presence of Pura Musen, a meditation site.
